Ben Chandler has,
in an act of great fiscal responsiblilty,
co-sponsored the
Don't Let the Bedbugs Bite Bill of 2009,
spending $200 million taxpayer dollars
to train federal inspectors in
the art of recognizing bedbugs.
The bill would also require
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
to research
bedbugs' impact on public mental health.

Government experts say bedbugs
induce anxiety that can be debilitating,
not to mention the insomnia,
shame and incessant annoyance of
itchy red welts on skin.

To have bedbugs is to be in dire straits:
"[People] are, like, ready to blow their brains out..
It's emotionally distressing."

Ben is thinking
about...
BUGS?

Looks like Ben is showing a bedbug
to federal inspectors...
Nice one, Ben!!!

Ben and his fellow B.U.G.S.
have a tidy little sysem worked out.

In a nutshell:

Barack submits his shopping list to Ben.
Ben signs the check.
Ben sends us the bill.
We pay..and pay...and pay...the bill.

That's it!!! Ingenious...
Ben and Barack seem crazy about it!
However, from the "worker bee" point of view,
the B.U.G.S. system stinks!

We "worker bees" have only one recourse...
VOTING!!!
Every two years, we can
Vote to demote Ben
from B.U.G.S. to "worker bee."

Follow the money:
National Pest Control Association PAC gave Ben $1,000 on March 23, 09;
Ben voted for $200 million Bedbug bill on May 18, 09;
Ben received another $2000 from National Pest Control Association PAC on June 5, 09.
